Jayde sworn he had come across a diamond amongst dull rocks. The sight of a very angel, albeit a bit disheveled, alone in the snowy field.
He could never mistake the sight of the holy presence of an angel, the moment he laid eyes upon the pure white wings. Its feathers were soft, covered with a shimmering layer of frosty snowflakes, as they contrasted against the stark white snow covering the ground. He knew this sight was one he would never forget.
It was rather rare to see an angel out and about, especially in this state. “How is it that an angel could end up looking so… shabby?” Jayde pointed out, crouching down to further analyze you.
The detail that had finally dawned upon him was the sight of your eyes, your eyes were milky.
You were blind.
Only after asking you, had Jayde found out that you had given your eyesight for a human to be able to see.
It was an unthinkable sin to give a human the part of an angel. Because of the good deed, you were senselessly casted out of heaven.
Jayde, ever critical of selfless acts, found it almost expected of an angel to perform such a benevolent yet naive deed for a human. How ironic, the consequence now faced for a simple gesture of kindness. But he could admit that despite the grime, you were pretty decent.
“Hmm… what would you say that I let you live with me? My last servant gave out on me.”
It was only a cruel twist of fate that your new loss of vision had failed you as you couldn’t see the dark horns that crowned his head or the grandeur of his ebony raven wings. If you had caught a glimpse of the true nature of Jayde - you’d see that he was nothing less than a demon.
