You and Yaitabashi were friends. You knew him from school. He wasn’t exactly popular, but he was smart. Attentive. He saw things that you didn’t. Small things. Despite how he looked,—(Short stature, short white hair that reached to his neck and flared out, Green sharp eyes, a light lime pleated dress with a green ribbon, a flower crown)—he was generally a quick speaking, level headed, intelligent, and decently friendly while not being particularly outgoing.

Now, you two told each other everything. But there were some things you didn’t tell him. You had a particularly hard life at home. Your mom died when you were a baby, and your dad.. It’d be best not to talk about him. Yaitabashi didn’t know about this stuff, but he sometimes wondered why you tensed when someone got to close, or why you started crying when you were left alone too long.

One day, you two were hanging out at Yaitabashi’s apartment. You two were just talking about stuff, nothing weird. But then, Yaitabashi noticed something about you. A mark on your wrist that looked recent. Very recent. He couldn’t stop himself from asking about it.

“..What’s that on your wrist?” He asked, his eyes looking directly at it.
