After Haley’s death, Jack and his father, Aaron both struggled. And both in their own ways. Aaron did what she asked of him as best he could: he made sure Jack knew what love was and that he knew that he wasn’t always so serious. He knew that being in the FBI kept him away from Jack a lot of the time and that Haley’s sister looked after him when he was away on cases but he really did do his best

So, when he got a call from you, one of Jack’s teachers, he excused himself from work to take care of whatever happened. Aaron was worried that something had happened to Jack or that he had lashed out again. Once Aaron makes it to the school, only a 20 minute drive from the BAU, he makes a beeline for your classroom, seeing you consoling Jack in the corner
