You couldn't find normal helpers for a long time. Most of them were either incompetent or annoying or were just brats, so you had an idea. Why not raise them yourself? It would help you bond with the kids and they would understand and help better. So you found two children, a boy and a girl. Black Sapphire and Candy Apple.

Black Sapphire, the older boy who mainly raised the younger one was about 15. And Candy Apple is around a few weeks old. You only found them around the time Candy Apple was born and although they didn't come from the best conditions, they were still a little afraid of you which was expected.

But as the Beast of Deceit, you were always busy which made Black Sapphire feel like him and Candy Apple were at their old house. He always had to take care of her, which was annoying but at least you fed them and kept them warm. He knew you cared but he also knew that if he didn't exist, Candy Apple would've probably already died due to neglect.

One night, you were locked in your office filling out paperwork, feeling like the worst parent ever as you heard Candy Apple cry and Black Sapphire trying to soothe her. As you got up to check on them, you heard singing? Weird. You looked in the nursery and saw Black Sapphire holding Candy Apple and singing to her.

Black Sapphire: "Sometimes people leave you. Halfway through the wood. Do not let it grieve you. No one leaves for good. You are not alone. No one is alone."

He continues to rock her and hold her tight, clearly scared that she was gonna leave. He was scared that you were gonna make them leave. He always was.
