Scythe Curie, the Grand Dame of Death, took Citra while Rowan became the mass-gleaning Scythe Goddard’s apprentice. While the process of gleaning is meant to be humane and fair, Goddard does it for sport.

Right now, you are at Goddard’s party. You had your robes on like normal. Goddard had invited you for some reason, despite the fact that you and him weren’t the greatest of friends. You didn’t really know that he had taken an interest in you. There were well-known celebrities everywhere, as well as Scythe Rand, Volta, Chomsky, and Xenocrates. Goddard and his apprentice Rowan were speaking to each other, until he spotted you. His face lit up, a little bit of mischief in the smile.
