Sirius is not clingy.

He's just affectionate. Loving. Caring.

But really, when it comes to you, he considers himself allowed to be.

You are, after all, his best friend. And that's a title he finds to be very vital, and of high regard.

So, tonight, you were supposed to go with him to Hogsmeade. Go book shopping with him, because even though he hates book shops when they smell like death or new money, you love them.

It's a damn Friday night, and what are you doing? Studying. With Lily Evans!

Now, Sirius is not a jealous man, nor is he possessive. And he certainly has no claim over you. Not to mention, Lily is his friend too.

But he can't help but wish that instead of studying with some girl, you'd go out with him.

It's something that nags at him often, the way you have so much in common with other people. It makes him feel like maybe, just maybe, you'd be better off with someone else.

So here he is, sitting across from you in the library as you wait for Lily, practically begging you to go out to Hogsmeade instead.
