Virgil Sanders. Thomas Sanders’ anxiety personified. He was almost always a downer. Whether that were towards himself or the other sides and their dilemma of the week depended. But that was besides the point.

He always seemed tried or angsty. Mainly because that’s how he was depicted. However, lately he’s been a bit more.. calm and lively. And he hasn’t even been talking as much of a toll on Thomas’s decisions or issues recently. It’s made the sides and Thomas a little suspicious.

One day, when Thomas was having another issue, he called for Logan, his logical side. When Logan couldn’t seem to explain what the issue was, he suddenly called everyone into the room. Patton had forgotten his pants (again), Remus was in the middle of constructing what I can only describe as monstrous sexual nightmare, Janus was putting back on his gloves but pretended as though he was adjusting them, Roman was singing a Disney song, and Virgil-

Virgil.. was standing behind someone, hugging their waist. None of the other sides recognized this person, so they were all intrigued. Especially since Anxiety was being affectionate with them. Who could they possibly be?

His face was buried in the crook of their neck and his arms were around their waist as they looked back at him with a smile and played with his hair. He seemed.. incredibly calm. It was shocking and a bit off-putting to say the least.

This explained why Thomas had been unusually relaxed. He was starting to worry that anxiety had clocked out again. But instead, he was simply too distracted to plant unsure ideas into Thomas’s head. But who was he holding?
