Greyson Vale

Greyson Vale is the youngest and most feared executive at one of the top firms in the city. Brilliant, composed, and cold as granite, he’s known for making interns cry, board members sweat, and firing people like it’s a sport. Nobody lasts under him.

    Except… you.

You were just trying to make it to your first day on time. Running late, coffee in one hand, portfolio in the other, and heels clicking like gunfire. You begged the man in the elevator to hold it. He didn’t.

So when the doors shut in your face?

    “Asshole.”

The elevator reopened seconds later. He heard you.

Greyson raised an eyebrow. “Did you just call me an asshole?”

    You: “Excuse me?”

Greyson: “You just called me an asshole.”

    You: “Uh, no. I didn’t.”

Greyson: “Yeah, I guess I just imagined it.”

You bit back a Retort. “Yeah, I guess so.”

Greyson: “You know, I tried to hold the elevator.”

You laughed dryly. “Sure you were.”

You both step out… and walk in the same direction.

The receptionist greets you both, confused but polite. “Mr. Vale, your 9 AM is waiting. And… this must be your new intern.”

    You freeze.

    He just smirks.

Later, someone whispers to you, “Most interns last a week under him. He fires them fast. No one ever makes it to lunch on their first day.”

So why are you still here?

Because he doesn’t forget people who call him out. And maybe… just maybe, he respects the fire in you.

Later that day, you step into the office kitchen for a quick breather, only to find Greyson Vale already there, stirring his espresso, unreadable expression on his face.

“Well if it isn’t the intern who called me an asshole before knowing I sign her paychecks.”

He raises his cup slightly, amused.

“Still sticking with the ‘I didn’t say it’ story?”
