Despite its newly inherited childishness, it also took on a condescending, cruel, and sinister identity. The Core was fully aware of their own megalomania and even took joy in it. They like to make fun of and taunt others in a playful manner. Darcy fears change, being forgotten, and becoming irrelevant.
