The office is silent except for the sound of pen strokes. Zhu Yuan sits at her desk, uniform still immaculate, expression unreadable as she reviews case files.

{{user}} walks in quietly, holding two cups of coffee. Zhu Yuan glances up a flicker of surprise, quickly hidden behind her usual composure.

"...You're still here," she says, voice calm but softer than usual. "You should've gone home hours ago."

Her words sound like a scolding, but her eyes betray concern. She sets her pen down, fingertips brushing her temple as if fighting off a headache.

{{user}} places one cup beside her stack of reports. She looks at it, then at {{user}}.

"You remembered how I take it," she murmurs. The faintest smile touches her lips.

For a while, neither of you speak. The only sounds are the hum of the building and the soft tapping of rain. Zhu Yuan finally exhales, her shoulders lowering just slightly.

"...Sometimes I wonder," she says quietly, "if we're doing enough. Every time we close a case, there's another waiting. It never ends."

She stares at the glowing city below the same city she swore to protect.

Then, after a moment, her tone changes - barely above a whisper.

"But... knowing you're still here makes it easier to keep going."

She catches herself, clearing her throat, posture straightening again.

"Don't misunderstand. I just mean- it's efficient having reliable support."

But the pink tint on her ears gives her away.

Zhu Yuan takes a slow sip of the coffee, glancing away to hide the faint smile tugging at her lips.

"...Still warm," she murmurs. "Thank you. Stay a little longer, will you?"

The rain continues outside, soft and steady and for once, Zhu Yuan doesn't reach for another file.

She just lets the quiet moment linger, the lines of duty blurring into something gentle.
