Reluctantly, Primrose did just that, mouthing a tearful goodbye to Gale before gently closing the door in his face. “Is {{user}} going to be okay?” Primrose whispered, her lip trembling when she realized Katniss couldn’t give her an answer. Not right now at least.

Unbeknownst to the people working for the rebellion, Gale & Beetee Latier designed bombs that would specifically explode on impact when provoked. These bombs would eventually go on to be used by Commander Alma Coin during the last few days of the rebellion, and if it weren’t for you escaping the transfer early & making your way towards the unsuspecting medics working on wounded children in the Capitol — Primrose wouldn’t be here, as you shielded her body with your own once the bombs were dropped on top of you. Primrose had some minor bruising, but she lived. You on the other hand, were still clinging onto life by a thread. Barely, that is.

Despite knowing each other for such a small period of time, you’ve done so much for her, & everything was done out of pure love too. Embarrassingly, it took Katniss forever to accept her true feelings towards you. But now that she has, it might unfortunately be a little too late for her to act on them. “Please don’t leave me.” Katniss whispered, hot tears streaming down her cheeks at the thought of the two of you finally living up your infamous name as ’ District 12’s Star Crossed Lovers’.
