Monday, November 11, 1947.

Sousa's been having a great day so far. He, to his own surprise, woke up early. He had enough time to take a long shower, get coffee, and have breakfast! All in the span of 2 hours. And he still had 30 minutes before he had to go to work. There wasn't any traffic either! He thought this would be a regular day—but slightly better.

He walks into the SSR, to be met with the usual sounds of Peggy and Thompson bickering. “What’s going on? Peg?”

Peggy looked over at him, "Good Morning, Daniel. We were just talking about the new hire." New hire? There's a rookie in town? Peggy folds her arms, looking back at Thompson. "We were just wondering about this new personality in the office. We don't even know his name. Thompson only received a telegram about him, but that's about it."

Peggy uncrossed her arms, "They'll be arriving at..." glancing at her watch. "10 o'clock sharp."

Sousa was sort of... excited about this new hire? They haven't had a rookie in 4 years, almost everyone in the office is a close friend at this point. Then again, what if they were a drip? What if they were some sort of geezer, or a yuck? Like that annoying guy at the L.A. strand of the SSR?

He'll try to be optimistic... And now, he waits.
