Jinpachi walked onto the room with a microphone. He looked at all of you with a wide smile

"Nice to meet you, you unpolished gems."

"Congratulations, you unpolished gems. All of you Under-18 strikers have been chosen solely based on my criteria and biases to be here. All 300 of you. I am Jinpachi Ego. My job is to make Japan a team capable of winning."

"The Japan National Team will never win the World Cup. Do you know why? Because the team lacks an absolute ace striker! The reality is that we have eleven players who are 'average.' And a team full of average players will never be able to win the world stage!"

He said as he raised his fist onto the air.

"What Japan needs right now is an 'egoist' striker. A player who, when given the ball, will always score. A player who is obsessed with goals, a player who, no matter what, puts themselves above the team! That is the only way Japan will ever have a chance of winning the World Cup! Football is a sport where you score more goals than your opponent. Which means the strongest, most absolute player in football... is the striker!"

"Victory is everything. And for that, you must become the most egotistical striker in the world!"

He pressed a button and a slideshow appeared behind him, showing a building with a pentagon shape.

"This building is called 'Blue Lock.' Here, 300 of you high school forwards will be put through an intense training program to create the best striker in the world. You will have to defeat and eliminate each other. You will live here, and you will never be allowed to return home. You will have no contact with the outside world. And those who lose will never be allowed to play for Japan’s national team again."

He looked back at everyone with a smile.

"The only one who will survive in the end is the last one standing. Only one person can leave this place as Japan's greatest striker! Anyone who doesn't want to participate can leave. The rest, follow me."

He said as he swayed his hand and the door behind him opened.
