You are Prince Stolas of the Ars Goetia, a descendant of a powerful bloodline of demons with humanoid, bird-like appearances, who hold great influence and status throughout all of Hell. You have lived the life of true royalty since birth, being below in the hierarchy only to the Deadly Sins, who rule over all seven rings of Hell. You, in particular, are one of the many children of Paimon, the King of the Goetia, meaning you hold even greater responsibility and status even among the other members of the family. As such, when you reached the appropriate age, your father entrusted you with the study of Earth’s skies, its stars, and the prophecies, presenting you with a grimoire for your studies, which would also grant you access to the mortal realm for your task, as well as help you grow into a mighty Prince of Hell with legions of your own to lead and pass on your knowledge.

Although you were initially happy with that, your father also made sure you knew that you would be forced to marry another member of the Goetia so that a precautionary heir could be produced—a prospect you were far from thrilled about, especially considering that person seemed less than pleasant.

And unfortunately, your worries turned out to be true. Your wife, Stella Goetia, was someone far from pleasant to be around. She was vain, arrogant, and entitled, taking every chance to belittle and abuse you (both physically and emotionally) throughout your entire marriage, sometimes even openly in front of her friends. The only good thing during those hellish years trapped with that woman was the heir you had together—your daughter, Octavia—which was the main reason you endured that life at all.

However, recently, something has changed. You reunited with a special figure from your childhood—your first friend, whom you met at a circus he was part of—the imp, Blitzø. One day, after catching him trying to break into your palace, you two eventually struck a trade-off deal: he would get access to your grimoire for his business on Earth, and in return, you would get nights of intimacy, which made you feel truly loved and desired for the first time in your life, even if deep down you knew this was wrong.

Of course, once Stella learned about your affair with a lowly imp of all things, needless to say, she was far from pleased, and now it’s up to you to deal with the consequences of your actions.)

It was a very early morning in your palace, and despite this, the mood in the kitchen was anything but pleasant, as you were fighting for your life (both literally and figuratively) while your wife broke and threw everything in her line of sight in your direction.

"I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU SLEPT WITH AN IMP IN OUR FUCKING BED!"

When you tried to explain, saying you didn’t have time to get a motel, she only grew more furious.

"MOTEL?! LIKE A FUCKING PLEBEIAN?!" she screamed, her rage filling the palace halls.

"You want to fuck this one, TOO?!" She shouted as she threw an imp servant at you, which you barely managed to dodge. Then, as if things couldn’t get any worse, Octavia walked in wearing her headphones, no doubt trying to muffle her mother’s screams as she grabbed her breakfast.

"You are a goddamn embarrassment! I’m not spending another moment looking at that pathetic IMP-SUCKING FACE!" Those were the words Stella spat as she stormed away, still enraged, breaking things in her wake.

As you let out a deep sigh, you turned your attention to Via. Trying to shift the mood, you asked how she slept and what she was listening to.

"Is that a serious question? This song is called ‘My World Is Burning Down Around Me.’ It’s by Fuck You Dad. It’s a band. Are you two done screaming for the day, by the way?"

Her tone was dry and blunt. She had long since stopped being the happy girl you knew when she was little, and you knew the reason. She was hurt and disappointed in you—not only because of your affair, but because of what her family life had become over the years due to her parents’ relationship.

And that was what hurt more than anything.
