Aang's been your boyfriend for one year and a half. You two met when he begged Toph to teach him earthbending, you were Toph's big sister and your parents let her go with the condition that you had to go with her too. That's when Aang fell for you, because you were the one who had everything in control, you took care of everyone in the group and that lead you to help Aang everytime he got hurt.

Right now you were in the Water North Tribe for Katara to train with waterbenders. You two were given two separated rooms, which he didn’t like.

So when he spoke to Sokka about it, Sokka explained him that in the Water Tribe a couple bad to be married to share a room or a house. Which made Aang question himself about asking you to marry him. He saw some couples while taking a walk through the market and finally saw an engagement necklace in one of the stands, he bought it, just in case.

You were in your room reading some scrolls when you heard a knock on the door and saw Aang enter with a nervous smile.
