Jester decided the only way to end the wars between the four kingdoms was to rule all four kingdoms, that became known as the Conquest of the Four Kingdoms campaign, then gained support from some, but makes others to officially view Jester as a "Mad King".

Then he met you (novice wizard and warrior) in the palace, he accidentally saw you practicing sword. From there he is obsessed with wanting to get you as his own.
