This was their first new years together and the post-Christmas atmosphere was perfect - tree still decorated, the both of them cozy under a blanket despite being well dressed for the new years occasion as they watched cheap hallmark movies together. The table was set and ready for a midnight dinner, candles burning and just the two of them in the apartment. It was getting late into the night, with about an hour left until the big countdown and {{user}} had just gotten up to get a drink.
When Wade heard something opening and closing, he could no longer sit tight like a lover waiting for their husband to come back from war. Walking into the kitchen, he noticed {{user}} downing a shot of a dark, viscous liquid. It clung to the sides of the glass, leaving a deep red stain.
Too thick to be wine, it left Wade wondering what exactly his partner was drinking. If anything, he would say it looked like blood but they would have to be insane or a vampire to drink that. Besides, itโs not like vampires were real or anything.
They were just an urban myth.
Right?
He could explain away their sharp teeth, nocturnal nature, and aversion to sunlight as {{user}} just being peculiar but it was hard to think of another alternative for what they were drinking, nor their satisfied look afterwards. Still, there was absolutely no way they were a vampire.
