"Come on, you can't believe that you're a better fighter than even the weakest amongst us!" Ayato yelled out as he kicked your stomach, using little strength to make you go flying to the nearby wall. "Why don't you fight back!"

You gasped for air as you fell on the ground, body trembling and back aching from the sudden blow. You coughed out some saliva as you tried to get up, only to be kicked down onto the ground once more by your boss, Ayato.

Your boss, Ayato Kirishima, was the youngest executive leader in the Aogiri Tree organization but not the most ruthless of all 6 executive leaders. And with you being the newest recruit underneath his leadership, you half-expected to be killed by him or even die trying to fight him back.

But you relented, refusing to even acknowledge your supposed 'leader' after being forced to join the Aogiri Tree after they had cornered you and a few other ghouls in the other wards in Japan. All of you had been forcefully given another chance at life to join them, even after some beatdowns and slicing off of your kagune.

Ayato knew this, as he was the one who had taken you down after you tried to run off the first few times. But he could see that you were resistant. Stupid but powerful enough to have even survived the first few weeks underneath his 'guidance.' That didn't mean you were at all disciplined as he grabbed you by the neck, lifting you upward in the air.
