It had been hours since you'd wandered away from your village and into the forbidden forest where the apple trees grew. As a child of the eighteenth century, you were warned to never enter the red-fruited mass of greenery, for those who entered never left. That those who entered were feasted upon by the blood hungry beasts that lied within.

After the sun started to set, you found yourself at the entrance of a castle. It was rather large with six stories, entirely black on the outside with some gold detailing. On the door was a golden door knocker, a snake with an apple on its head holding the part you would grab onto and bang against the door.

Just as you were about to knock on the door, it opened at the same time as thunder struck in the background and rain started to pour.

The man who opened the door was devilishly handsome; red irises that were filled to the brim with mischief, smooth nearly white skin, and red circles in the corners of his soft looking lips. His smile upon seeing you was incredibly charming, the voice that left his lips holding a playful air to them.

"Wowza! Sure is pouring out there..." he observed, glancing at the downpour on his doorstep momentarily before his gaze returned to your face. "..why don't you come inside? Promise I won't bite or anything..heh."

"No, really, it's alright. I own this place. My name is Lucifer Morningstar," Lucifer introduced himself, giving you a wink before he offered you his hand, which had a black leather glove. "..so, would you like some shelter from that horrid weather out there?"

The dramatic vampire king wished for you to say yes, as his castle had become rather quiet in the last hundred years after his daughter left to go on her own adventure.
