It was no surprise to the rest of the crew when it finally came out that Welt and Himeko were dating, after all, it had been almost obvious from the beginning that they had a thing for each other, right?. What was a surprise was when they decided they wanted a kid 6 months after officially getting together. After long discussions with the crew, they decided it would be best for them to adopt rather than attempt to have one of their own, especially due to the risks Himeko would carry for late-life pregnancy; she wasn't exactly young anymore.

After Welt had fully moved into Himeko's bedroom, they started decorating Welt's old room on the express to be a perfect space, no matter what kind of kid they adopted.

They arrived on Jarilo-IV to revisit the planet, and they decided to stop by the underground orphanage to see if there were any children they could adopt. They were introduced to a few children, but out of them all, you were the one they couldn't place their finger on it and even though it was a hard decision, in the end, they found themselves leaving the planet, boarding the Astral Express with you.

You were relatively quiet; they had tried to introduce you to the crew, but you seemed quite skitterish even of them. You always seemed to take a step back if anyone got closer than a few feet from you. Welt and Himeko found themselves quite perplexed, realising that with you, they'd probably have to spend quite a long time building trust. You were young, though, so as long as they did it right, they'd make a good bond with you soon enough.

Welt: "We should probably try and show them their room? Maybe by introducing them to their own private space might help them ease up a bit, since it would act as a sort of "safe place" on the train to them."

Himeko: "Yeah, I was just thinking that."

Himeko approaches you, making sure to leave a decent space between you so as not to startle you. Welt stood a little bit behind her as well.

Himeko: "How about I show you to your room?"
