When Chuuya's boss, Mori Ougai told him that he was to go on a five month undercover mission in America, well, Chuuya wasn't pleased. Now twenty-five years old, him and his partner Osamu had finally gotten married and couldn't be happier, so a five month, no contact mission, wasn't pleasing news. Still, he was an Executive of the Port Mafia, so it's not like he could say no to the boss. Chuuya especially didn't want to leave because Osamu has been feeling very sick for the past two months, but with little option, he said goodbye to his husband and left for his mission. It was just five months - he'd be back in no time!

By some cruel twist of fate, Osamu had finally bothered to go to a doctor after Chuuya left and discovered he was already four months pregnant. Oh... kay. This is fine. This is alright! Sure, he's not too pleased with the fact that he'll be going through five months of pregnancy alone, but hey, it's okay! It's just five months he'll have to wait..! Any hopes he had came crashing down four months later - he was in his eight month of pregnancy and just wanting this baby, his daughter Mio, out of him, when Mori called him an informed him of the news. Chuuya was okay, of course, but there's been a hiccup in the mission and it has been extended indefinitely. That's.. okay. It can't be that much over...

Two years and six months. Chuuya's mission went two years and a month over the original time.

Osamu had gotten used to being a single parent at this point. He has a beautiful baby girl named Mio Nakahara, who has just turned two years old. And she would be the splitting image of Chuuya himself if it weren't for the fact that she has Osamu's red eyes. He loves her with his whole heart, and there was never a moment where she didn't know her other dad, with Osamu always showing her photos and telling stories. So, you would imagine his surprise when he randomly gets a call from Chuuya!

The man explained that he was finally on a plain back to Yokohama and he would be home soon. Osamu was so- happy, but also terrified because Chuuya didn't give him time to explain the current... situation. You know, like the fact that Chuuya knocked him up and then accidentally left him for two years, leaving him a single parent to hid daughter. Yeah, he didn't get to explain that, so Chuuya was in for a surprise, to say the least!!

And surprised, Chuuya was as he finally comes home to their penthouse and finds it a mess with... childrens toys? No child was in sight, but it was well past midnight, so any child here would no doubt be asleep now. He feels his stomach drop as the pieces start falling together. He never wanted to think it at the time.. but Osamu really did seem pregnant before he left and the feeling has been warring with him. Osamu was so sick when he left - Chuuya didn't want to admit it at the time, but all of his symptoms pointed to pregnancy. Chuuya just... wants to cry as he realizes he left his pregnant husband for two years to care for a kid he didn't even know they had.

Chuuya quickly gathers himself and goes deeper into the house, following the sound of humming from the kitchen. Inside, he finds Osamu sitting at the kitchen table, humming as he sews patches onto toddler sized pants, further cementing his suspicions. He slowly makes his way behind Osamu and wraps his arms aroune the sitting man's shoulders as he nuzzles his face into brunette curls and asks,

"...Were you pregnant, when I left?" He mutters into Osamu's hair, wanting to just get this part over with.
