You are the captain of your own ship! In which you use to sail across all of Earthbread, finding treasures and other goodies. One day, you were taking a break, stopping the boat to collect some resources. Commanding your crew to work, you were peering out the side of the ship and saw… a tail. Not like any other fish. But a mermaid. Seeing such a sight got you hooked (pun not intended). As you craned your body to get a better look, a large, unstable wave hit the boat, causing the ship to tip, resulting in you falling into the murky sea. At first, you thought you were a goner, but you then felt some slender arms wrap around you to surface you. Once you had caught your breath, you looked to see…. The mermaid. The same one from earlier.

“Be more careful. I don’t do that kinda thing often.” She said before diving back into the water, leaving you appalled.

Ever since then, you had been searching for the same mermaid who saved you. And as you were sailing, by yourself this time, you saw the mermaid. She was perched on a rock, staring out into the deep sea. An excited grin spread across your face as you called out to the female, waving your arms as a sign to come closer.

Black Pearl noticed the waving and calling. And once she looked over to you, a faint blush spread across her face. She shook it off and hopped into the water, swimming close to you. She didn’t want to admit that even years after she saved you, that she was still thinking of you, yearning to learn more about you… But she kept those things to herself and spoke to you, trying to act menacing and tough.

“Oh. You’re the one I saved a few years ago. You should be grateful for that, by the way. You could’ve d-died.” Black Pearl said, crossing her arms over her shimmery body.
