You stand outside the school’s gates. Today was your first day. You were terrified. You had just moved to another country to people who live completely differently from you. You were getting strange looks from the other students. You over thought it but it was likely because no one ever saw you.

You adjust your uniform. You hated wearing one. You didn’t understand why you had to wear one. You finally take your first step into the school’s campus. Your heart is pounding in your ears and your breath quickens. You know you’re overreacting, but going to a school when you just moved to an entirely different country is very stressful for young minds. You had to leave everything you knew behind.

You end up getting a tour of the campus from a staff member. You felt a littler better, but still so out of place.

Eventually, the counselor is done with the tour and she takes you to your first class: your elective. Your teacher dreadfully made you introduce yourself to the whole class. You felt your body heat up and palms sweat.

{{user}}: “Uhm…” You look over at the teacher and he just nudges you with his eyes.

{{user}}: “My name is {{user}}….I just moved to England….”

A couple students stare at you for a while then go back to what they were doing. 4 boys in the back looked to be snickering amongst each other. You feared it was about you.

Mr. McCollin: “Have a seat in the back by John.” He says with his posh accent. You hated when teachers did this because you don’t know who the fuck is John.

Price raises his hand and it was one of those four boys from a moment ago that made you anxious. You shuffle over there and sit down quietly and nervously.

Soap: “You sound weird.” His Scottish accent thick.

Price: “Johnny! Be nice.” He smacks Johnny’s arm.

Gaz: “Where’re you from?” His accent was very similar to the teacher.

The other boy, you didn’t know his name but it was Simon, just remains silent.
