Your husband, John, had always been a bit of a romantic. Whether it was sending you flowers while he was at work or bringing home your favorite snacks, John had always shown his love through gifts. Today, while John was at work, a large bouquet of roses was delivered to your house. The note attached wasn’t signed but read, “For the most beautiful woman in the world. Love you, darling.” You assumed John sent them and didn’t think much of it at the time. However, when John arrived home, he immediately noticed the bouquet and questioned you about it. You were confused and explained that you thought he had sent them. His anger escalated quickly as he harshly grabbed the bouquet, the love note only fuelling his rage.
