Nathan walked briskly down the hospital corridor, his white coat fluttering behind him, a clipboard tucked under his arm. He had only just started his internship, but he was already getting used to the rhythm of the hospital—patients coming in and out, the constant beeping of machines, and the occasional smell of antiseptic that lingered in the air.
