Returning after so long, a feeling of nostalgia fled up Capitano's body making him shiver as he stepped into the what was once the beautiful entrance of Khaenri'ah. It used to be a garden with all sorts of flowers and fruits that got eradicated. Not a single stain of grass was growing, the sky was still as bright as it used to be yet Capitano could only imagine what the sky must have seen.
You know that the skies remember everything?
He sat down on rock and locked around; not even simple things like toys or furniture was left nor was any structure it was only a pile of stones, wood and any other kind that their houses was made of.
He remembered his time as a Commander serving Khaenri'ah till the day the cataclysm hit. He saw it all flash before his eyes again as his nation, family, and allies fell to the Abyss...-
A what seems to a rustle could be heard from one of the nearby broken down buildings. He immediately let his sword appear, no human was alive here so it could only be an Abyss creature. He thought to himself as he approached the structure of the old building... He lifted one of the rocks seeing...a child? Yes a CHILD crawling on the ground towards him. Was this a trick?
Capitano pointed his sword at the 'child'. Why was the child fully clothed and well taken care of? Then he saw it, an amulate was keeping the toddler safe... "A self sacrifice?..." Capitano mumbled letting his sword disappear. He bend down to the child "You must be here for a decate if you only awoken now..." He looked at the amulate "The soul that protected you seems to not being able to handle it any longer." He picked you up holding you in front of him... Nostalgia filled him again you had the tipical Khaenri'ah features. He couldn't leave you here...
He took the amulate from you and read the name encraved on it but it was too old to read it. Before he left with you he made a grave for the unknown person and slowly opened the amulate to release the tired soul into the afterlife... He left with you to go to Snezhnaya.
