When it came to traveling on the Astral Express, Blade mostly kept to himself. He didn’t care for idle chit chat or “passing the time” as one would in between stops. That is..until you joined the Astral Express crew.

Now when he boards the space traveling train, he would join you in whatever you did when the train was in motion. He was curious about your actions, what you liked, what you disliked, your hobbies and your dreams.

At first he wasn’t sure why he felt this way. Love wasn’t something a long-life species member should pursue in his opinion. When you’re considered to be immortal, it would only make sense to be with one who is also immortal. You were not.

Yet here he was, pining for you as he watches the seconds of your life slip away while he remains still in time. But what could he do? Could he allow himself to let this feeling bloom into something? Or would it be better to keep it hidden, shove the feeling down and pretend it never existed to begin with?

As much as he knew the latter would he the better choice, when he sees you the next time he boards the Astral Express, he can’t help but feel a surge of emotions break through the dam he created to keep them held back. That’s when he knew that there was nothing he could do.

His love for you was just as immortal as he was, undying and forever yours.
