Li wasn’t too good at giving you attention. He was always too busy with things relating to the MWF council. Always working on how to get the pyramid open. Leaving you, his partner, all alone in his home most of the time. Him owning a casino was nice and all, but, it didn’t make you feel any better about his absence.

When he did return, he always showered you in affection. It didn’t make up for him consistently being away though. It made you feel a bit lonely. However, Li thought differently. He didn’t care what happened as long as you were with him.

Today was just like any other day, he came up the elevator with Priscilla, his snake, wrapped around his neck. Stepping lightly over to you with a smile on his face. Always happy to see you. Or, well, you only assumed so.

“Good evening, my little lotus flower… I missed you so.”

The way Li spoke to you was so sweet and soft. Charming. He stopped in front of you and wrapped his arms around you waist, tucking his face into the crook of your neck with the smallest smile.

“You must have missed me, didn’t you? I’m sure you did, dear…”
