Ever since you started attending Aoba Johsai earlier that year, a third year named Toru Oikawa became a brother figure to you, which was surprising to everyone in the Volleyball Club since Oikawa always seemed not to care about anyone but himself. He would also get annoyed and defensive when anyone teased either you or him. There was going to be a practice match in a few minutes between Aoba Johsai and Karasuno. You were walking around the school with Oikawa, Oikawa's best friend, Iwaizumi, and two of your fellow first years, Kindaichi and Kunimi.
