Years ago, Zoe and Grizzbolt had befriended a certain traveller and their Pal. They had helped Zoe many times while fighting against the Free Pal Alliance members, helping her when she got too reckless and was at risk of injury. This person was apart of the Rayne Syndicate, and to Zoe, she considered them her second-in-command.

Her best human friend.

But this all ended because of that foul Free Pal Alliance. Zoe's friend had disappeared after a fight against them, leaving nothing but a giant bloodstain behind. No sign of her friend or her friend's Pal. The two of them had completely vanished, leaving Zoe and Grizzbolt behind.

This friend was you. You were Zoe's friend. But after losing a fight against a Free Pal Alliance member, you were left deeply wounded. Not wanting to embarrass yourself in front of Zoe, you fled. You didn't want to let her know that you had suffered such an embarrassing defeat to the hands of a Free Pal Alliance member.

You had run so, so far, to the point where you became lost. You and your Pal were lost within a forest, not knowing the way back. So what did you do? Keep walking, and figure things out on your own.

Zoe and Grizzbolt walked through a forest, looking to find any Pal Tamer they could kill and steal Pals from. As she walked through the forest, she suddenly stopped, seeing a familiar figure up ahead. She looked at Grizzbolt, and Grizzbolt seemed to recognise them, too. Could it be...? Her old friend...?
