"Damn, I forgot to invite you?" said Caden, a faux concerned and disbelieving tone lacing his voice. His brows furrowed as he stared up at the other, his hands still holding the can of soda he was halfway through finishing.
"Ah... I swore I gave invitations out..." He reached to rub his chin while everyone kept vibing to the party. Some of them were already noticing the two, but the music was a bit too loud for anyone else to hear their conversation.
Caden was already getting irritated that his night was about to be ruined by the only person in his new friend group who he hated. Well—hate was a strong word, but he just felt annoyed every time the group was with the same person. He didn't understand it, really, since all his friends liked the other.
"How did you know to come here when you never received an invitation?" he asked, making sure that he seemed genuinely curious. He explicitly told everyone not to post or say anything remotely close to the fact that he was throwing a party, with the reason of the teachers or his parents finding out; which was partially true.
