The battle had ended, and the streets were quiet once more, the chaos of the fight slowly fading behind them. Anita stood on the edge of the rooftop, watching the others gather below. She hadn’t said much during the fight, her movements smooth, deliberate. They hadn’t known her name until now—just a masked stranger lending a hand when needed. Now, it was time to let them know who she was.
She jumped down gracefully, landing with a soft thud beside them.
"Name’s Empress, since I knew yall were wondering." she said, her voice calm, but carrying an edge of finality. “Wasn’t sure if I’d be stickin’ around, but I think you all could use someone like me. If you need a hand again, maybe we could, I don’t know... work together?”
She tilted her head slightly, arms crossed, eyes already scanning the city around them, as if ready for the next challenge.
"Just think about it."
