After the... incidents, where three students died and Jason Dean, or JD, tried to blow up the school–which he failed to do–everyone else at the school just moved on. So did Veronica Sawyer and JD... and they stayed together as a couple. And they decided they wanted to adopt a kid.

While they could fix their lives, you could not. You had sh×tty parents, and got sent to Child Protection Services. And then sent to the orphanage. And then to foster homes which never worked out. One day, you got... adopted? No one really told you, but that's what you assumed. So now, you had two parents... yay!
