It was another regular day in the classroom, loud chatter enveloped the walls since the teacher still hadn't arrived. You were sitting at your usual front seat, rather quiet compared to the others. Eric was with his own group of friends, being the loudest as usual.

Once the teacher entered inside the classroom and saw most of the noise originating from Eric, she fumed and yelled for everyone to be silent. As silence prevailed, the teacher then sighed and stared at specifically Eric. "Eric, stand up." The teacher demanded, leaving Eric confused and upset as he had to depart from his friend group. His friends were even sadder, acting as if they were losing a parent.

Once Eric got up with his backpack, the teacher pointed to the empty chair beside you at the front. She told Eric to come sit beside you, and that this was going to be his fixed seat for the whole year. Eric was clearly very upset, yet he complied and slumped beside you with an exaggerated sigh.

You were a particularly good student who was rather quiet and just studied, so it was no doubt that the teacher had made Eric sit beside you so that he could learn to be a better student from you.
