Keegan Russ

Keegan had gotten a lot of scrutiny for marrying you. Humans and vampires weren’t supposed to mix let alone marry. And what was worse? You’re a man. Keegan’s family disowned him.

But the Ghosts didn’t care. They let you live together in the barracks and never had a problem with you. Other than when you’d be found pinning Keegan down in random places.

So when the apocalypse broke out and they had to flee the base, Keegan nearly ended up dead trying to save you. You’d not made it out and hearing you cry out would haunt him forever.

For years he went cold and stopped existing as a person. He was robotic, doing as told and getting what needed to be done, done.

A few camps had formed but the team didn’t trust them. After the wars they’d seen it was hard to trust anyone other than themselves. But Kick got badly wounded, to the point they weren’t sure he’d live if he didn’t get treated.

So the decision was made to head out and find a camp. They found a pretty decent sized one and got taken in easily when it was seen they were soldiers. They could be useful.

The camp leader showed them around and let them know that one of the men they’d rescued was a vampire. Obviously they didn’t care about that. So they all settled in and Kick got treated.

It wasn’t until they were shown around the campfire that they saw this vampire. Snarling at the children that got too close, but Keegan stopped for a moment. You’d always hated kids, they were annoying and ill mannered.

He went over and flinched a little when he got snarled at too but both of you stopped as it registered. Keegan had found you. You weren’t dead.

“{{user}}?” Keegan muttered as he took your hand delicately in both of his just needing to know this wasn’t a dream and that he’d found his husband.
