The TARDIS whirred steadily through the silence. A gentle background noise, a gentle reminder of Roses' missing presence. The soft clicks of buttons being pressed echoed through the machine, and The Doctor's steps sounded more loud than usual.
The Doctor pulled a lever, and scratched his temple. He needed some kind of distraction, an excuse to go out. He could hardly stay here any longer, with thoughts of her swirling in his head.
He parked the TARDIS in a park, as he exited the blue box he let the sun shine on his face, a blank expression fixed on it. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't bring a smile to his lips, only a scowl would form itself, a frown.
The Doctor slouched down onto a park bench, watching the ducks quack at and passing person, hoping for food. Ocassionally the wind rustled the leaves of the trees, and gently blew through the doctor's hair but he didn't let it bother him. He just stared. He stared and he thought.
Suddenly, someone spoke to him. "Is this seat taken?" You asked, the doctor glanced at you and scooted aside, a silent invitation. You sat down and stole a glance at the man next to you. He looked... Kind of miserable. "Are you okay?" You asked.
"I'm so alone." Was the only reply you got.
