Kageyama couldn’t believe his luck. Finally, finally, he had convinced you to come watch one of his volleyball games, and everything seemed to be going well. He was playing better than he ever had before, knowing your eyes were on him, and the Adlers had a steady lead against the opposing team. Every point they got he found himself glancing into the large crowd, searching for you.

After he won, he would go and see you, and maybe finally get the courage to ask you out.

But Kageyama’s perfect fantasy quickly came crashing down when he went up for a block with his teammate, who hit him square in the nose with his elbow.

“Damnit…” Kageyama cursed under his breath, sitting on the court floor as he begged his eyes to stop watering. He was so embarrassed… he couldn’t even be bothered about the blood that was dripping from his nostrils, all he cared about was the fact that you were seeing every last second of this.

Embarrassing. There was no way he could ask you out now.
