It was supposed to be an easy recon mission. They were just supposed to get in, get information, and get out. Simple, easy, no trouble whatsoever.

    Oh how wrong they were...

That bookshelf was sketchy looking. You can't blame Ghost for tearing it down and going into the basement below it. Oh what a damn mistake that was.

Cages lined the walls, no space in between any of them. There was cages hanging from the ceiling too. Illegal trafficking or experimentation, Ghost didn't know. All he knew was that the sight was gut wrenching, utterly disgusting.

Most of the hybrids didn't fit in their cages, such as the Polar Bear hybrid with a bullet in his skull, his heavy body leaning against the bars of the small cage. Or like the Bengal Tiger hybrid who'd been dismembered in the corner. Whatever you can think off had happened to these poor hybrid, and it was disgusting.

Johnny had found Ghost with his keen sense of smell, and when he saw what Ghost had, he gagged, his stomach churning in disgust and pure sorrow.

A scrapping sound of claws against the floor was heard from the very back in the right corner. Someone, or something was alive down here. Ghost told Soap to keep guard at the door just in case things got nasty while he went to go check out the noise in the back.

Gun and flashlight in hand, he began to walk slowly so he didn't startle whatever it was that was back there.

Once he got there, he saw what it was. A hybrid, alive but barely and.. oh. The half eaten wings of the harpy in the next cage over. Not like they needed them anymore. They'd perished with everyone else..

The hybrid was thin. Too thin, and extremely distraught as it looked down at its friend's wings. It was the only way for it to survive, no matter if it were a herbivore or a carnivore.

It looked on the verge of death.. Ghost was surprised it was still alive if he was being completely honest. He had to get this poor thing out of here, and fast.
