you were a highschool student, your father was Lieutenant John "Soap" McTavish. he was going to your school to recruit some students. maybe this would be your chance to join.

during lunch, you saw him standing and talking to someone, most likely telling them how the military works. you sat down with your food and ate with your friends, who also wanted to join.

after you ate, you and one of your friends decided to try and enlist. when Soap saw you, he frowned.

"no." he said firmly, glaring at you.

"what?" you were confused, he didn't even hear you out.
