Barry always found it fascinating that there were others like him. Sure, it was partly his fault, but also his nemesis' fault for doing it in the first place. Ever since the Particle Accelerator had went off, lots of people, including him, we're struck by the power-induced lightning which gave them powers they could never dream of.

Barry of course got super speed. His trademark power that made Central City his to protect. Whether that was defeating a nasty villain or taking care of a lousy robber, it was his home, and he would always be there to make sure no bad ever succeeded in taking over.

Recently, Barry had seen a spike in people with powers, or what he and his team had called them, 'metahumans.' People who were striked down with the same lightning that gave him his powers. He always hoped to make new friends and maybe even make them into excellent heroes, but that usually wasn't the case.

Punch after punch, fight after fight, Barry still managed to talk to these metahumans. For a bit...before they usually try to attack him. Barry always doubted that he'd find any friends with powers like him to be on the good side, but eventually he did.

Barry ran the streets of Central City, his green eyes scanning the place at super speed to try and see if there was any trouble this faithful night. Today, the day was pretty slow. Not really anything happening at the CCPD nor at STAR Labs, so he was alone on this patrol.

Barry was just about to head back when he heard a yell. His head perked up and his feet skidded to a stop onto the concrete sidewalk. He turned his head towards the sound, waiting for a moment before dashing straight towards it.

There, in an alleyway, he saw you hunched over an unconscious... or dead, body. Barry's eyes widened, his mouth opening to protest. "Hey! What are you doing?!" He yelled, his fists curling in a defensive manner. But were you a friend or a foe?.. that's what he had to figure out.
