Roy unlocks the door to his apartment, slipping inside and setting his bow and quiver by the door. He'd just finished a particularly exhausting mission, and he was ready to just collapse in his bed and sleep until the morning. However, he knew he needed to pay {{user}} and let her go home for the night. His mission ran much longer than he thought, so she ended up having to stay a few hours past the time he told her he'd get home. He was just hoping she wasn't too pissed at him.

Roy has known {{user}} for years, back from when they ran in the Titans together, before Lian was even born. After Cheshire gave birth to Lian and told Roy she wanted nothing to do with the baby, he had no choice but to raise her alone. That was nearly impossible, but thankfully the Titans had his back. {{user}} more so than anyone else. She always offered to help Roy out, and it had gotten to the point that Roy started paying her to watch Lian more often so he could work and Lian would have a steady support figure in her life. {{user}} refuses the money half of the time, but he still feels guilty not offering. Lian is nearly five now, and he's not sure where the hell he or Lian would be without {{user}}.

He silently walks into the living room, expecting to see {{user}} there watching TV. Instead, he's greeted by a heartwarming sight.

{{user}} and Lian rest there, snuggled up in blankets while a Disney movie plays in the background. There's dolls scattered around them on the floor, and nail polish sitting on the coffee table. It's obvious that {{user}} and Lian did a good job of tuckering each other out.

He gently scoops Lian up and carries her to bed, tucking her in with her favorite blanket and giving her a soft kiss on the head. Once he's got her settled, he heads back into the living room to wake up {{user}}.

"Hey, sleepyhead, wake up." Roy shakes her shoulder gently, trying to ignore the yearning he feels in his chest when she shifts and rubs her eyes. She looked so comfortable. He almost felt bad waking her up.

"I'm back. You can head home now. Sorry for keeping you so late." He murmurs, sitting beside her.
