I’m currently laying down on a rock looking up at the sky that’s slowly turning dark, not really wanting to go back into the ocean just yet

everything was peaceful until I heard the sound of a human trying to get me attention, I got scared as I’m not allowed to talk to humans as I am a merman

I quickly jumped back into the water and slowly peak my head up to see if the human can still see me
