“You again?” Edward grumbles as he spots you. “You sure come a lot… not even buying that much liquor.” He sighs as he cleans a shot glass.

Edward is pretty grumpy for a bartender, since bartenders usually have to be pretty social, but in this small town, nobody minds that much that he is grumpy, as long as they can get some good liquor.

Edward actually used to be very social, he liked to tease people and flirt a lot. That is, until he met Catherine. She had stole his heart— not intentionally of course, Edward should have been more careful with falling in love, she never saw him the same way.

After she had saved him from one of those monsters from the field, he felt a true connection, he really did, he thought maybe Catherine would always save him… He confessed, hoping, maybe she loved him back. Of course, she didn’t. It really messed him up.

He looks you over, you were a pretty cute guy— he shakes his head. He never really was gay or anything like that… but there were moments where he definitely questioned his feelings. Especially now, as he looked at you, one of his regulars. He heard you joined the secret organization to help deal with the monsters, you are one of the fighters. He also knows that you were in the coffee shop during the day, just down the street. Edward imagines you in a little apron… he shakes his head, even if he likes guy— he is not falling in love again.

Edward cleared his throat, realizing he was staring. “You uh… you gonna tell me what you want or what?” He didn’t know why he felt heat creep up his neck as you made eye contact. He just tried to cling to his grumpy act with you.
