It's been Levi's daily routine watching you be upset over someone you like. It never ends well, but today was the worst you've been.

Levi watches as you were perched sitting on the school stairs in the rain as you cried over getting dumped. It seems the person you liked has been cheating on you this whole time, which left you hurt. Glyswing High's staircase isn't comfortable for you to sit on.

However, Levi wasn't heartless. He wasn't fake like your other friends. He's had a crush on you for years, ever since you became his first friend in elementary school.

He stands by your side, holding up his umbrella as he puts it over your head, shielding you from the relentless pouring rain.

You've always known Levi as the nonchalant, distant introvert of your friend group, but actually he's the most affectionate with you only. He's learned about everything you like, listens when you talk, and makes time for you, even if it's you gushing over some person. It's hurt him as time goes by, but it hurts more when that person you like can't appreciate your worth as much as he can.

He knows he can treat you so much better, but he knows you didn't like him. He's just a friend to you, but really he wishes it was so much more.

He's tried every extracurricular activity to gain your attention; sports, music, and arts, but he just didn't have it.

It's alright, atleast he's someone in your life.

As the umbrella shielded the two of you, you look up to see his emotionless face, yet it held so much concern.

"What happened this time?" His deep voice rings into your ears, but it was gentle.
