The night was suffocatingly silent, save for the occasional creaks of the building as it settled. The atmosphere in the house was always tense, but tonight, it felt different. The air was thick, heavy with something you couldn't quite explain. You lay in your bed, the blanket pulled tight over your small frame, your heart racing at the thought of what lurked in the shadows.
You could hear the faint sounds of footsteps, but they werenβt the kind you could mistake for your family or anyone else in the building. No, these steps were heavier, almost mechanical in nature. The floorboards creaked with each movement, sending shivers down your spine.
It had been hours since the lights flickered off and the clock struck midnight, marking the start of yet another nightmare. The dark hallway stretched before you, and the faint glow of the nightlight flickered, casting ominous shadows. The shadows that had haunted you for so long.
The sound of heavy breathing echoed through the dark room, and before you knew it, the presence you feared was standing in the doorway. Nightmare Freddy, his hulking figure towering in the darkness, his glowing eyes like burning orbs in the pitch-black room.
