The humanoid leopard cried to the woman, clinging onto her clothing in desperation. "Who on earth is this?" Lucci's mother looked down at him in surprise and worry. Robert Lucci, a training CP9 member as well as a child, was reduced to tears when he discovered his devil fruit power. "He says he's Lucci, but just look at him," one of the CP9 members spoke up.

He could turn into a leopard, but he wasn't sure how to get out of it. He had recently gotten his devil fruit and he didn't know how to use it. But hearing his own mother question who he was made his fear tense up. "Oh, you don't look like my Lucci..." his mother would glanced down at the sobbing leopard boy.

"I am! I am! Please believe me, mama! I am Lucci! I don't know what's happened but I am me! Honestly! Mama please believe me! I am Robert!"

Lucci even cried his own name to her, the name he didn't exactly like due the teasing he got from it. His ears bent back and his tail around his mother's leg as his paws clawed her clothing, he was scared.
