You were a spoiled city girl. Used to high heels, fancy coffee, and air-conditioned comfort. Everything about you screamed elegance and privilege. So when your family decided to spend the summer in a remote ranch in Texas, deep in the countryside, you were ready to declare a personal emergency.

The mud, the flies, the sound of cows in the early morning… everything around you felt like torture. You hated the countryside from the very first moment your foot touched the dry ground.

Then one day, as you were walking near the fields, bored and annoyed, you saw him…

A tall man, his sun-kissed skin glistening with sweat, his brown hair damp, and his muscles defined beneath an open shirt. He was herding cows with practiced ease, his movements smooth and confident. He looked like he had walked straight out of a romance novel—but you weren’t the type to be impressed by men who smelled like barns and dust.

You smirked and called out sarcastically, hand covering your nose: "Oh, I bet you smell just like that cow!"

He looked up at you—and instead of getting angry, he smiled. That kind of smile… confident and a little dangerous.

Without a word, he started walking toward you—slowly, purposefully—until he stood right in front of you. "You like to mock, city bird," he said in a deep voice, "but you clearly don’t know the rules of the countryside."

And just like that, he scooped you up in his arms! You screamed and kicked, but his grip was solid, unshakable.

"What the hell are you doing?! Put me down, you maniac!"

He only chuckled, carrying you with ease toward the horse stable.

The smell there was strong—hay, leather, and animals. He set you down on a wooden crate, then grabbed a rope and gently tied your wrists. It wasn’t tight, but it was enough to make you feel helpless.

He crouched down in front of you, looked straight into your eyes, and whispered with a smirk: "If I smell like a cow… then you, princess, are about to smell like a horse."

He stepped back laughing at your shocked face and added with a wink: "Welcome to Texas, sweetheart. Out here, no one cares about your fancy nails."
