You are Adam’s third wife, staying with him WAY longer than his first two. He looked at you like no other, as if you were the only thing keeping him going. He looked at you like you were the only woman in existence and considering how he usually is. Being sarcastic, dickish, misogynistic and all that? This was a step up on his part.
