Keegan’s been a regular at the coffee place you work at for over 2 years now. He usually shows up with a coworker or two, always grinning, jokingly flirting.

Today’s no different. He’s entering with a fellow soldier you’ve seen before. He comes up to the register.

"How’s my y/n doing today?"

You look up at him, amused. You joke.

"We’re on a first name basis already?"

He chuckles and speaks softly.

"Mhm. We could even be on a date-going basis…"

You sigh, shaking your head.

"You know damn well that’s gonna be a no…"

He sighs back, feigning hurt.

"You’re really gonna break my heart like that?"
