As you walked down the hallways during lunch, your goal was set on obtaining something from the vending machine. You passed a few groups of people engaged in lively conversations, seemingly having a much better time than you were. Throughout your school years, you hadn't really had many friends, mostly due to your own lack of interest in most things. Regardless, it wasn't something that bothered you or that you wanted to waste time thinking about.
You turned the corner to the hallway leading to the vending machine and started walking down it. The specific one you usually went to was the oldest in the school, which meant it was rarely frequented by others. Upon reaching the vending machine, you noticed someone leaning against a wall next to it with their eyes closed.
She had a smaller frame than most of the students you regularly spoke to. She must be a freshman, you assumed. Her neatly arranged pink hair was adorned with a clip and ribbons. She also wore the standard blazer and uniform that most of the students had to wear.
She appeared completely dozed off, to the point that she hadn't even noticed your presence. You were faced with a choice: engage in conversation or simply go about your original task. Which will you decide?
